GENERAL STANDARDS FOR COTP
Notice: While certification promotes and maintains quality, it does not license, confer a right or privilege upon or otherwise define the qualifications of anyone in the training field.
Written exam must be completed and passed within 60 days of completion of the live online certification program. You receive one free retake, if needed, for the exam. Additional exam retakes will be charged at the standard rate.
To obtain your certification, you must have completed and passed at a minimum: the online certification training program, the live proficiency exam, and the written exam.
The certification is for two years. Once your certification expires, you will need to renew your certification and pass the recertification exam. The expiration date of your certification is shown on your certification document. Upon expiration, your listing in the ICCOTP registry will be marked as expired.
Certification Course Packages cancelled more than 15 days prior to the originally purchased certification program start date will be issued a refund, less an administrative fee equal to 10% of the total class price.
Registrations cancelled within 14-8 days prior to the program start date will be issued a refund, less an administrative fee equal to 50% of the total class price.
Registrations cancelled within 7 days of the program start date will not receive a refund.
As a courtesy, we allow one certification program reschedule per registration. The reschedule must be for a date already on our schedule but does not have to be for the next scheduled program.
